Carl Liam Piergianni (born 3 May 1992) is an English footballer who plays as a central defender for Conference North side Boston United. ==Career== Piergianni studied at Stanground College, and was playing in the Peterborough and District Youth League for his boyhood club Powerleague in the Under 16 league when he was scouted by Peterborough United.〔 He joined Peterborough's youth system and two years of progress saw him named Under 18 Player of the Year.〔 In December 2009 he signed on work experience loan with Spalding United, where he went on to make six appearances. After being named in several first team squads towards the end of 2009–10 season, in May 2010 he was awarded a one-year development contract by the team.〔 For the 2010–11 season, he was awarded a first team squad number 17. He made his Football League debut on 10 December 2010 as a 95th-minute substitute in a League One match against Rochdale. On 31 December 2010, he joined Altrincham on work experience. He made his debut for the club the next day, playing the entire match against Wrexham. On 10 August 2011 he joined Stockport County on a free transfer.
